Pretty uneventful weekend as far as fun and exciting things go. Saturday, mmm, don't really remember what happened, woke up probably midday, pondered on the computer for a few hours then wasted away some hours at work. Oh yeah, that's right, then I came on the computer again, drank, played SOF2 and made the word list up with Amy!

Sunday was a fun one, woke up early, was keen to head to the beach, but then fell asleep again. Eventually I woke, played some more SOF2 and then trekked to the coast by myself. I just wanted some solitude and space to think, and besides, I wanted to fully soak up Ayreon - The Human Equation, which would have to be one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. It's just fucking ace how everything weaves together, it's a concept album about a man who has a car crash and is in a coma for twenty days. Ayreon is made up a bunch of artists, and each artist plays a role, an emotion (Fear, Pride etc.) or a character (Father, Wife, Best Friend etc.). Each song is basically a story of each day, ranging from his childhood, to his wife's cheating, and his best friend's betrayal. It is just fucking ace, too hard to explain, the best thing I can do is lock you in a room for 2 hours to soak it up, it's just brilliant.

Anyway, finally got to the coast, drove around for a bit, then eventually found a park and just went and lazed on the beach, now when I mean lazed, I really did laze, so much so that I feel asleep and woke up an hour or two later feeling a bit burnt For the time that I was awake, I just spent thinking about things, I've never really been a happy-to-the-core person and I'd like to be, so I'm nutting out what the fuck is stopping this.

More recently, I had an exam this morning for Database Design. Was a fucking killer, I think I did shit, so for a pick me up I went to JB and got Kreator - Coma of Souls and Snow Patrol - Songs for Polarbears. Talk about a genre conflict! It brings my CD collection up to 171, and nudges just over $3000 worth. I also picked up my RHCP tickets today, concert is gonna go off, Danman and I are gonna go nuts!
