Continuing from where I left off after Iron Maiden on Tuesday, Wednesday brought a leisurely day. In the morning I attended a Brown Forman workshop for work (1st Choice) where I learnt/tasted a few whiskey's, rum's and vodka's for educational purposes wink It's a little bit odd sipping whisky at 9am, but nevertheless, it was a great course!

I was feeling shitty come Wednesday night with a combination of a massive headache, probably compounded from the noise of Iron Maiden the previous night and my shitty diet of late, and just a withdrawn mood. I had no intentions of drinking, and managed not too even though Benji, Kyle and Yeatsie got quite merry. We went to the Dockside Comedy Club for Kyle's 20th. The comedians were hit and miss, but it was still a pretty good show.

Danman recon'd Benji and myself at around 11 and we decided to head home... via the shack. None of us had visited it since it was broken into a few months back, so we weren't sure what to expect. There's almost a road layed to it's front door, and we have been 'honoured' with our own garden. Instead of the road running straight past the shack, it's on a T intersection with one of the garden islands on the opposite side! The shack was still standing, and it's in great condition despite the rain. The gaping hole in the wall has resulted in a tonne of spiders and random crawlies making it home though, so a clean up job is due in the coming weeks. All in all, we were pretty surprised, but happy that the shack will live on for another day!

Thursday brought the start of my working weekend. It also marked my first shift as manager at Brodies. After nearly 5 years I got the promotion to casual manager, which fits in pretty good with uni and 1st Choice (well at the moment). 13.5 hours is a long day, and managing is a different experience then what'd you expect. Everything's pretty cruisy in the middle, it's the start and finish of the shift that's hectic with banking and what not.

Friday morning brought more work at 1st Choice, then Friday afternoon brought Brodies work again... fast forward to Saturday morning and I was working at Brodies again, and then fast forward to just a few hours before this post and I was working at 1st Choice! I don't mind the hectic days, it's great money for my age/situation and I still manage to score a few days off here and there. Total count though, 36.5 hours of work in 72 hours, impressive when 21 of the remaining hours is spent sleeping smile

Tonight I chilled at home, watching the remainder of How I Met Your Mother. I really like it to be honest, and makes me reflect on bits and pieces of my life. It's funny how I say life when I'm still only 19 years young, it's not like anything now is particularly defining of the future. Well, I hope it's not like that, there's just a few things that just aren't 'right' now and I hope a bit of time will work it's magic smile

Suspended?

You may have noticed that for the past few days visiting this site just shows up as a suspended account. Not anymore! It so happens that while experimenting with a uni assignment I managed to bring down my webhost's server (and all the clients that were on it as well). Kneejerk reaction, suspend my account and ensure the rest of the system is stable. I knew the offending file anyway, so it's now been deleted and it's fair to say I'm not sure that that particular assignment will have a certain functionality anymore smile

Last Saturday I headed over to Nani's 19th with Yeatsie, Benji and our DD Kyle! It was a pretty tops night even though we were only there for a few hours. The party was themed as emergency, so fire, police, ambulance was the main theme for costumes. Benji and I put a different spin on it, he wore his Maccas uniform (people need food) and I wore my 1st Choice outfit (everyone loves booze). It was fantastic. I instigated a ball game that is normally played in drama classes where you through the ball among a circle and say your name. It went well for a bit, then Monique threw the ball at me while I was chatting and I fell ass over tit. Hilarious, but ego bruising all the same.

We wandered round and meet Mick and Rossie who remembered us from Nani's 17th. I remember chatting to Mick with his kids as we decided how to punish them for egging someone's house. I think we arrived at they clean it in the morning with clown noses on or something. Haha. I eventually got talking with Greer and Kim. Greer was sober, I think she was a DD, but nevertheless, she was up for a great chat about anything really. Kim and Monique were dressed as policewomen, but for some reason they wore fire helmets which me and Benji kept trying to steal all night. Kim and I got along well, talking about Led Zeppelin and the like. Eventually we headed home, not before stealing the fire helmets off the girls happy

I should have photo's up soon smile

So today was my birthday and after a pretty exciting Friday night with Benji, Kyle, Yeatsie, Yank, Mark, Ben, Jess, Dani and Mel at the Comedy Club, I was pretty excited at what tonight would bring, but first I had to tackle my Network and Protocols ex....

Ah fuck it, I'm tired and dissapointed:

  • Got guitar (Thanks guys/girls happy), chocolate, clothes, Led Zeppelin framed poster and vouchers for birthday
  • Fucked up exam
  • Bought 5 CD's for $50 at JB
  • Watched Curb Your Enthusiam until I went to Yeatsie's to hit the town
  • Ran for 5 minutes to get to the bus stop, then watched the bus pull away to leave us stranded in Algester at 10.30 with no way to the city
  • Consider chipping in $70 to get a taxi to the city
  • Fucked off that idea and went home, midnight rocked around and then so did bed shortly after this post
