The Weekend

I had a somewhat eventful weekend. Turns out we bought the Lancer and the Chazza is still in the garage for repairs. I managed to break the cam shaft and head gasket somehow so the repair bill on that is going to be hefty, but worth it because it'll run like a new car once it's fixed. We're hoping to sell it for around 4 grand. The Lancer is alright, I've yet to drive anyone in it as it's unnamed, and well, you just don't do things like that without names. The sound system in it is stock, so I'll be saving for a new one of those amongst car repayments/insurance/repairs.

I scored the job at 1st Choice in the end, I got a phone call last Sunday asking if I wanted a job in another area of the store so I had my first shift on Saturday. It's a fairly relaxed work environment and the people seem pretty friendly. The pay is almost $19/hr so I am cheering! I work there 10 hours a week, but still nearly $200 before tax (oh tax.. unhappy). At the moment I'm paying a huge amount in tax because I'm still keeping my Brodies job, until financial year at least then I'll reconsider my options.

Saturday night I had the Lamb of God concert and it was pretty intense. I haven't heard much of their material so it was pretty much a random concert, but it was well worth the $45~. The mosh was probably the craziest I've ever seen but it was alot of fun. Highlights were Walk With Me in Hell and Now You've Got Something to Die For. When the concert finished everyone piled out onto Brunswick Street effectively closing it off which called the cops to come on down and flash some sirens. What happened next was awesome, instead of all the metalheads moving, they swarmed the car and starting chanting 'Lamb of God' over and over. Such a surreal thing to see, especially in Brisbane.

Last night I went to Sizzler with Kyle, Benji, Cam, Kiren and Nesh. It was pretty fun, alot of random jokes and humour here and there. We managed to steal a dessert bowl with Nesh wearing it as a Jewish cap on his head as he walked out, while I managed to snag a supply of jellybeans for the adventure ahead. Originally we were going to see a movie for free courtesy of Nesh, but in the end we decided to go to Slaughter Falls to conquer it.

Nesh brought along a mate, Phil, and off we went. For once there was a few people hanging around there, mainly just smoking up and getting high, but it was good to see some form of life around. We wandered up the deserted road and eventually got to the trail and we headed towards the JC Slaughter Falls walk which was 600 odd meters. After passing a number of 'interesting' Aboriginal artworks and avoiding Benji's bombs, we missed the turn to the actual Falls and instead walked a big circle around the mountain and back to where we started. Doh, easy way to kill an hour. Definitely would of loved to have seen the looks on the stoner's faces when we walked down the road acting like zombies from Shaun of the Dead happy

And that brings me to now. 8.52am and I'm meant to be walking across George Street normally on a Monday morning, but instead I'm feeling a bit shoddy from dripping in sweat Saturday night and walking around a bush track at 10.30 last night so I skipped the first half of my lecture this morning. I really couldn't be fucked going at all today, but I need to as a group assignment is being released in t-minus 2 hours and 7 minutes and I don't want to be stuck with dipshits.

Ha, yeah a few days late and I'm sure you've already read about my Tuesday from Benji or Amy, but if you haven't don't stress, I'm about to give you a third take on the day. For me, Tuesday was a huge day. I started work at 10 for our Melbourne Cup catering. It was pretty fucking easy, so when 2 rocked around I couldn't believe I just snagged $50 for doing shit all.

After I got home, and eventually showered (read: hours later), Adam gave us a call saying come to the Jindalee Hotel for drinks with his workmates inbetween something about a newsagent chick and 'don't worry bro, I can get you in'. I bailed on that, considering I was already going to the gym with Dani and Mel, but I did offer my services as a DD to pick him up. He took me up on the offer and next thing I knew I was bailing on gym and driving with Amy through Inala and Oxley looking for Adam, who thought it'd be great to 'pub crawl' through these dodgy suburbs. Haha, and just for something random, some dude staggered up to Amy's car at some intersection and slurred some shit about a road, stupid bastard, he had too much metho I think, 'Green means go Amy!'. Haha. Nevertheless, we found Adam at some pub that didn't look too dodgy at all and then he directed us back to his mates place so I could pick up his car. Heh, it was fun driving his car, it's alot quieter then the Chazza, so I have nfi what it was doing half the time. I've also concluded that dual 12" subs don't cut it for metal!

So anyway, after a trip to KFC, I went and picked up Dani from the gym and took her back to her's to get her phone and then we all, Amy, Mel, Dani, Adam, went to back to Adam's and watched OC Season 4's first episode. I reckon it fucking owned and has set the season up decently, but I guess we'll see as time goes by.

After leaving Adam to get some beauty sleep (heh, need more then 6 hours for that mate tongue), Amy and I dropped off the kids and went back to mine. Yank was driving around so we got him to pick me and Amy up and then we drove around with a new crew, Yank, Kyle and Benji. We went to Slaughter Falls which was fucking closed for some odd reason, but on the way, I'd just like to point out that U2 fans suck ass?! There we were, hanging out the civic with horns going up kessels road screaming 'YEAHHHH U2' at all the fans leaving the stadium, and what did we get? Jack-fucking-all! Metal fans pwn U2 fans, that's all I'll say.

Anyway, after our eventful (read: scariest thing was an owl that nearly sent the civic to heaven and it's occupants to hospital) cruise, we got home at about 1.30am before Yank decides it'd be fucking awesome to head to the coast to watch the sunrise. Now, considering I had an exam that I had to pass, it was probably a stupid decision, but after 15 minutes of rounding up Snow Patrol cd's and some clothes from Benji's and mine, we were off down the M1, through an eToll without a transponder ($19 fine ftw Yank) to the coast. Yank was like a truckie driver with all the nodoze and sprite recharges, but we got there in one piece, parked at Cavil and wandered to the beach.

Haha, there was some zombie dude walking straight down the beach towards the birds, yes, I believe his name was Tim. We walked down the beach for a bit, made some ass grooves and just laid down for a bit. Benji was hyped up on air or some shit, running round like a headless chicken so that was mildly entertaining admist him giving Yank balls and burying Amy's legs and mine and Kyle's feet. Then fucking, it started to rain, what a bastard! So we headed back up to the Civic to watch some metro get the shit beat out of him by two guys, then stumble across the road and throw a bin onto the street. Haha. So yeah, I went to go watch a sunrise that was never going to be thanks to the clouds and all I got was a drunken fight. Meh.

I got home about 6am, slept for a few hours, then got stuck into my Red Eye Platinums, holy shit do these things work a treat! It's like your mind becomes a sponge, I then studied networks till 4pm ready for my 60% do-or-die exam at 5.30pm. Surprisingly, I think I owned it! But we'll see, exam marks come out December 4 apparently.

And there you have it, one huge reason why you should blog more often, because otherwise your post becomes so long that it's highly doubtful that anyone actually reads the whole thing or rather reads (skims) to a bit that's funny then decides to comment on that ignoring the rest of the article.

Heh, so I got lazy with updates. I went to Slaughter Falls Monday night with Adam, Mel, Amy and Zoie. Kinda freaky place, reminds me of Blair Witch sorta stuff (not that I've actually been brave enough to see that movie, but you get the picture). The weirdest/freakiest/random thing was this car that was just abandoned there with all the windows down and no one inside. Creepy happy

I got my megadeth fan club package yesterday, acoustic cd for the win!

Going to brekky creek hotel tonight for a mates birthday, never been there, but i've got stuck as dd. haha
